Rotary International is the association of Rotary clubs. First Rotary Club was organized in Chicago, Illinois by Paul Harris with a limited number of people. The Rotary has now, after a little more than a century has grown to an international movement with the notion of “Service above Self”. At present there are more than 33,000 Rotary Clubs in more than 166 countries world wide, which are managed through more than 530 numbers of Rotary Districts under the umbrella of Rotary International [RI]. The number of Rotarians world wide has grown to staggering ~ 1.3 million professionals and business people from 5 – 6 in 1905. Rotary Club of Kathmandu North East [RC – KNE] is part of the huge Rotary Movement. Since chartered in 2003, it has been established as a growing club.

Chartered on : 19 th November, 2003 RC – KNE holds its Regular Weekly Meetings [RWM] at Hotel de’la Annapurna, Durbar Marga, Kathmandu Nepal on each Thursday at 5.30 – 7.00 pm including early half an hour for fellowship [4.30 – 6 in winter months].
